Velocity Scores & Tiered Retention

Every tracking thread on FLT News is monitored by a real-time engagement and acceleration index known as the Velocity Score. This metric calculates expanding public awareness, verification density, and reporting frequency.

Tier Definitions

Data retention and timeline tracking are strictly bound to these algorithmic velocity tiers:

Tier 1
Low-Velocity Traces
Velocity Score < 80
Active Tracking Window
48 Hours
Archival Access
7 Days
Tier 2
Elevated-Velocity Traces
Velocity Score 80 - 84
Active Tracking Window
7 Days
Archival Access
7 Days
Tier 3
Critical-Velocity Traces
Velocity Score 85+
Active Tracking Window
30 Days
Archival Access
30 Days

Expiry & Pro Access

Once a trace exceeds its tier retention window, it gracefully expires from the live public feed. Pro account users maintain extended clearance protocols to view archived historically-significant traces.
